1. The short version
GE3 (the "Site," "we," "us," or "our") operates at https://ge3.shop. Every calculator on this Site runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. The numbers you enter — your salary, your disability ratings, your travel dates, your account balances — never leave your device. We do not transmit, store, or log your calculator inputs.
We do collect anonymous analytics about how the Site is used (which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, general geographic region). We display advertising through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to show relevant ads. We do not sell personal data to third parties. This policy explains each of these points in detail.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Calculator inputs — not collected
All calculations on GE3 are performed client-side in your browser. When you enter your salary into the FERS calculator or your disability ratings into the VA calculator, that data exists only in your browser's memory and is discarded when you close or refresh the page. We have no server that receives it, no database that stores it, and no log that records it. You can verify this by opening your browser's developer tools (Network tab) and observing that no data is transmitted when you click "Calculate."
2.2 Anonymous usage analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are popular and how visitors find the Site. The data we collect is aggregated and cannot be tied to a specific individual. Specifically, we may log: the URL of the page visited, the referring URL, the visitor's country and region (not city), the type of device and browser, the duration of the visit, and the links clicked within the Site. We do not log IP addresses in a way that can identify individuals.
2.3 Cookies
GE3 uses cookies for two purposes: (1) to remember your preferences (such as accepting this privacy policy), and (2) to support advertising through Google AdSense. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites. The specific cookies we set include:
- Essential cookies — required for the Site to function (such as remembering that you closed the cookie banner). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — used to aggregate usage data and improve the Site.
- Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense to display and measure ads. See Section 4 for details.
2.4 Information you provide voluntarily
If you email us at contact@ge3.shop, we receive whatever information you include in that email (your name, email address, and the content of your message). We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any marketing list. We retain email correspondence for up to 24 months for quality assurance, then delete it.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to: operate and maintain the Site; understand which content is most useful to our visitors; improve calculator accuracy and article quality; respond to your emails; display relevant advertising; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your information to build a profile of your personal financial situation, immigration status, or health — because we do not collect that information.
4. Advertising and Google AdSense
GE3 displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices. For users in the European Economic Area, Google participates in the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework.
Third-party advertising vendors and ad networks used by Google AdSense may include: Google itself, DoubleClick, and other Google-partnered ad tech providers. A current list is available in Google's AdSense help documentation.

GE3 uses the following third-party services that may collect information as described in their respective privacy policies:

- Google Analytics (if enabled) — usage analytics; privacy policy
- Tailwind CSS CDN — styling framework; served by jsDelivr or Cloudflare
6. Your rights
6.1 GDPR (European Economic Area and UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR:
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Right to restrict processing — limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing

6.2 CCPA (California)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to: know what personal information we collect about you; know whether we sell or share your personal information (we do not); request deletion of your personal information; and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, email contact@ge3.shop with "CCPA Request" in the subject line.
6.3 Other jurisdictions
If you are located in a jurisdiction with data protection laws (such as Canada's PIPEDA, Brazil's LGPD, or Australia's Privacy Act), we will honor your rights under those laws. Contact us at contact@ge3.shop.
7. Data retention
We retain anonymous usage analytics indefinitely (because they cannot be tied to individuals). We retain email correspondence for up to 24 months. We do not retain any calculator inputs — they are never collected in the first place.
8. Children's privacy
GE3 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect the information we collect, including HTTPS encryption for all traffic to and from the Site. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as a banner on the homepage). We encourage you to review this page periodically.
